Location

Tsarabanjina is one of the islets of the exquisite Mitsio Archipelago in the north western part of Madagascar, it is 40 miles from the island of Nosy Be.

Accommodation

The luxurious, palm-thatched beachfront villas combine Malagasy art and culture with elegant modern style. There are 12 South Beach Villas and 13 North Beach Villas. Each villa includes bathroom with shower, twin sinks and a separate toilet, private terrace with comfortable seating area, indoor seating area, fans, minibar and individual safe in room.

Situated in the north-western part of Madagascar, at about 40 miles from the island of Nosy Be, Tsarabanjina is one of the islets of the Mitsio Archipelago.
A ninety-minute crossing by Tsarabanjina’s from Nosy Be.
The Beaches:

North Beach (270 metres long)
South Beach (200 metres long)

Bar Beach (100 metres long)

25 Villas – (47 m2) Completely refurbished and sold as a “Cristal” all-inclusive hotel.

12 units South Beach (bed area air conditioned)
13 units North Beach (air conditioned)

Tsarabanjina offers a number of sports activities. The majority of which are included in the price: Snorkelling, Beach Tennis Volley, Sailing, Volleyball and Pétanque (Game of Bowls), Gym, guided walks.
Additional charged for activities include: Scuba Diving, Sports Fishing, Spa and Excursions.
Local currency: the Ariary which has replaced the Malagasy franc (the former currency)
Official languages: Malagasy and French.
A visa is mandatory and the passport must be valid for a minimum of 6 months, visas can be obtained at the airport upon arrival in Madagascar.
Health: An anti-malarial treatment is recommended.

The region is a birder’s paradise with a veritable variety of bird species – including the famous flycatcher of Madagascar (the emblem of Tsarabanjina) as well as fish eagles. A biologist also discovered the tiniest chameleon in the world – barely exceeding one centimeter in length when fully grown

Tsarabanjina is a sacred islet. On the small peninsula of the eastern beach is the tomb of the Sakalava kings of the Mitsio islands. To this day, the people of the islands venerate the Gods by bringing offerings including money, honey and rum. Visitors are able to experience this themselves – as long as they show respect by remaining barefoot, wearning a lamba (shawl) and bringing a gift of respect

Tsarabanjina’s three beaches are North Beach (270 meters long), South Beach (200 meters long) and Bar Beach (100 meters long)
