Delaire Graff Estate is situated in Stellenbosch in the heart of South Africa’s most historic and prestigious wine regions – Stellenbosch and Franschhoek.
A total of 10 Lodges comprise of four single bedroom garden facing Deluxe Lodges, four single bedroom vineyard facing Luxury Lodges and two bedroom vineyard facing Presidential and Owners Lodges.
All lodges feature double volume ceilings with exposed timber trusses and custom designed furniture created exclusively for Delaire by David Collins Studio.
The lodges are all perfectly situated to take maximum advantage of the views over the local hills and vineyards, and some extend all the way to Cape Point and Table Mountain.
Special touches include Jo Malone bathroom amenities and contemporary art singled out from Laurence Graff’s private art collection
Continuing the theme set by the restaurant and wine cellar, architect Pierre Bories of France-based Palm Architects and his team conceptualised a delightful blend of classic and indigenous architecture for the Hotel and Spa. Scale is determined by vineyards and trees, with structures nestling into the scenery, and simple contemporary forms and spacious volumes opening onto wooden decks, creating a seamless flow between indoor and outdoor spaces.

Graff Diamonds established the FACET Foundation (For Africa’s Children Every Time) designed to support the education, health and well-being of the people of subSaharan Africa from where Graff sources many of its beautiful stones.
Help Lesotho:
In 2008, FACET partnered with Help Lesotho to build the first Graff Leadership Centre located in Lesotho. Today the Centre plays host to a Leadership Programme, which has now grown to over 100 participants, all high risk vulnerable girls who are now enrolled on courses to improve literacy, employment and leadership skills, and to tackle health issues around HIV and self-esteem.
Stepping Stones International:
In 2010, FACET partnered with Stepping Stones International in Botswana to build a further Graff Leadership Centre. The Centre is dedicated to creating a supportive environment through innovative educational and psychological support programmes for vulnerable children and orphans from 12 – 18 years of age.
The Centre currently hosts a ‘Finding the Leader Within’ programme. The programme includes leadership training and a computer centre, job and life skills, tutoring and income-generating activities.
Pebbles Project:
In 2013, FACET partnered with Pebbles Project to help enrich the lives of children and young people with special education needs, in particular those whose lives are affected by alcohol. The partnership saw the launch of the first Graff Mobile Learning Centres in 2014, two specially designed vehicles, tasked with travelling around the Winelands of South Africa, providing much needed after-school maths and reading tuition via a range of computer equipment and reading materials.
Delaire’s food philosophy is to produce beautifully crafted food that reflects the best seasonal, ethically locally sourced ingredients. It’s a philosophy of which they are proud. They pick produce daily from the Estate’s greenhouse and vegetable gardens and are committed to seasonal farming, supporting free-range, pasture-reared livestock and farmers in Africa. They give back to the earth thanks to their wormery, which generates organic fertiliser to help meet the needs of the Estate.
